Crafting with Kitties-- Christmas Ornament Wreath

The holidays are here! And with that? A new wreath. I saw a video on facebook where they were using a pool noodle to make a wreath and thought...oooo! I can do this! But, alas, since it's not summer there are no pool noodles to be had. lol

4 stars-- When a Laird Finds a Lass (A Highland Fairy Tale #2) by Lecia Cornwall

Oh, yall. I'm loving this series from Cornwall. Highlanders? Yes! Fiery fierce heroines? Gah, yes! Romance, a gorgeous setting, and fun storylines? Indeed!

When a Laird Finds a Lass. Well, he did just that. Fished her right out of the ocean after finding her unconscious in the waves. Injured and with no memory of who she was. The clan he's now in charge of? They totally think he should keep her. *nods*

Insta-Wednesday: Squirrel!!!!!!!!

Because I love Instagram and fun pictures. The Herd's week ala Instagram :)

Cats, crafting, cold, cooking. Cheesy art. Yeah. There are a lot of Cs this week :D

3.5 stars-- Christmas Comes to Main Street (Briar Creek #5) by Olivia Miles

A small town baker with a love for Christmas and a big city visitor who looks down on all things festive. Ah yes. That's quite the duo. Christmas Comes to Main Street was a Christmasy good time and utterly delicious!

Alright so the quick of it is that Nate is in town to spend Christmas with his elderly aunt then heading back to his real life that is blessedly Christmas free. But then he runs--quite literally-- into Kara. And crushes her cookies. Cookies that she was delivering to his aunt's inn. Yeah. He got in a little trouble for that. But it has him hooked on the Christmas loving Kara and somehow challenging her to a Christmas competition. So much for trying to ignore the holiday!

Memes! Top Ten Tuesday & Waiting on Wednesday

Lists! Time for lists! Things we're thankful for...

4 stars-- Hard Compromise (Compromise Me #2) by Samanthe Beck

Dayum! Beck has me hooked! Hard Compromise. Addictive and just a little dirty. Okay, a lot dirty. And I loved every second of it.

Alright so gist of it is that Laurie and Ethan met 10 years earlier when he was a rookie cop and hauled her drunk, underage ass off a beach and sent her home. Being a bit of a wild child she propositioned him. He was like girl you need to grow up. Check back with me in 10 years. Fast-forward 10 years, lots of time spent keeping her safe over the years, and, well, it's finally time for a throw down of a naughty variety. Hallelujah amen.

4 stars-- True-Blue Cowboy Christmas (Big Sky Cowboys #3) by Nicole Helm

True-Blue Cowboy Christmas had me near tears one moment, bursting out laughing the next--and having to hop on FB to share funny quotes--and simply falling in love with a group of flawed characters that anyone would be lucky to have in their lives.

So the quick of it is Thack's little girl has gone exploring and landed on the neighboring farm at Summer's caravan door. And, well, he's a little overwrought from fear and she's a little past being rational from worry over the little girl and, whew, yeah, that first meet does not *hangs head* go well. But eventually it leads to her working for him and taking care of his little girl. And messy attachments kicking up no matter how hard they both try to resist. Oo!

Life Reboot #5-- Winter boxes, Wreathes & Plans

Life Reboot. Taking control of my life one day at a time...and having a blast doing it. Each week I'll share how I did and what I plan for the coming week. If you want to join in...please do! Either in a blog post or just share what you're doing in the comment section!

Okay so this week. I was lazy. Kinda. It was cold and windy and I was tired so I kept it fairly simple but still made myself get out for one social thing and did a lot of prep work and errand type stuff so I'm happy. :D

4 stars-- Hold Me, Cowboy (Copper Ridge: Desire #2) by Maisey Yates

Sometimes a girl really just needs to land herself on Santa's naughty list. Something Maddy set about doing in a glorious way. And she's gonna take her nemesis, Sam, down with her...one orgasm at a time. Hallelujah! Hold Me, Cowboy? total orgasm infused fun!

Okay so Maddy and Sam. They've spent years sniping at each other. She's snobby and always shocking people...he's cocky and always ready to snarl at them. And they just drive each other crazy. But a snow storm, a remote cabin, lots of sexual tension and a horrifyingly long time since either has had a social orgasm (thank you Jill Shalvis for that gem!) and, yeah, sparks and panties fly.

Guest Post w/ Michelle Major-- Proud to be a Cat Lady!

Hey guys! Today we've got Michelle Major joining us for a fun post to celebrate her latest release-- Tell Me Again. Yall she totally joined the kitteh side. Woohoo! Check it out then hit those comments and leave her some love! ~anna

Thanks so much for having me here today!

Although I’ve had cats as pets for at least twenty years, I’ve always considered myself a dog person. For some reason, I thought I had to pick one or the other, and the sloppy, unconditional canine love seemed like the obvious choice.

4 stars-- A Cowboy Christmas Miracle (Burnt Boot, #4) by Carolyn Brown

They melted the baby Jesus and dun stole Santa! Lordy but Burnt Boot, Texas is one lively town full of quirky down right crazy people. A Cowboy Christmas Miracle was a hoot as the #LoveWar threatens to take both sides of the feuding town down for good.

Life Reboot-- Week 4

Wow. What a week! With the time change and everything I'm feeling wiped out but I still managed to have a packed week as far as my Reboot went :D I'm pleased with the progress and hopefully will get a bit more done this coming week. Slow going in some regards but that's okay, too.

So. It's the middle of the night. And I'm laying in bed. (seriously I swear EVERY randomly random starts that way, lol) So I'm watching Proper Tasty videos o Facebook on my phone and this guy is making the recipe.

And, hello, guys cooking? Totally sexy.

But I'm watching and I'm like dude! that is one hairy fucker! Which led to...

4 stars-- Bodyguard (Under Covers #1) by Jessica Linden

A do-gooder politician, an assassination threat, a new bodyguard who will do anything to keep her new client safe. Danger, passion, stand up characters. Yes, I had a good time with Bodyguard. This is how all political romances should play out!

Guest Post w/ Noelle Adams-- aws A Sweet Herd Babe & Inspiration!

Hey guys! Today we've got Noelle Adams joining us for a fun herd babe infused post. Yall check it out then hit those comments and leave her some love! ~anna

In May of last year, I moved to a small mountain town in the Appalachians. I’d just resigned my full-time job and was going to write for a living, so I moved across the state to be closer to my aging parents. At about the same time, my twelve-year-old Cocker Spaniel went totally blind, so the move was very hard for her. Once she got used to the new house, she was perfectly happy doing her favorite thing—taking naps.

Quote-tastic/Review-- growl! --Ruled by Elle Kennedy

Elle Kennedy. Woohoo! Yall this series is just good filthy pervy fun.

So jumping right in...This is a menage and it's seriously hot. These three have some tension between them and have been torturing each other a bit. Hot and then Rylan at the end just had me busting out laughing. He's kinda randy and cheeky and has been desperate for Reese for over a year...

It was a slower going week here since we had a new kitty arrival but still made some good changes and progress, I think!

3 stars-- Mistletoe Cottage (Harmony Harbor #1) by Debbie Mason

And so....Christmas reads. Yes! Christmas reviews are here! lol I'll be doing a #CountdownToChristmas from now until Christmas. Eep! Yall that are anti-Christmas just hold on until tomorrow for a regular review.

4 stars-- Maverick (Taggart Brothers #3) by Lisa Bingham

You need to read this series! Period. The end. Go one-click right this second! Bingham is masterful at delivering humor, heart, and seriously swoon-worthy heroes. Go get them. Go get them now! lol

Alright, yall. So, Maverick. Gosh it was fun. It's set at a shooting competition where they dress up in old fashioned clothes, have competitions, charity events, and a tent-city where all sorts of old timey items are sold. How fun! The hero, Bodey, is there for the competition. His heroine? She's working in one of the tent-stores that belongs to his friends. There's just something about the standoffish woman that sparks his curiosity and has him wondering what she's hiding...

DNF-- Dare You to Run (Unbroken Heroes #2) by Dawn Ryder

Things did not go well with me and Dare You to Run. I DNF-d at 33%. I usually try to make it to at least 50% but nothing had me engaged or even remotely enjoying it--characters, plot, sex scenes, etc. Basic gist is Vitus rescued Damascus and they got hit with a case of insta-lust/love but then are separated for years before coming back into each others lives... just as she's about to escape her father's clutches.

Alright so what didn't work.

Quote-tastic/Review-- so ashamed!-- The Bachelor Auction by Rachel Van Dyken

Another new to me author! I've actually followed her on FB for ages but finally dove in and it was a cute read.

Fun characters, the whole Cinderella thing, donkeys. lol

I mean. We've all been there, right?
It was too early. Way too early for a donkey in the middle of the room.

The Monthly Herd-- October-- snow plows, zombies, firemen & a new addition

October was a long month, yall. I'm pretty exhausted from it and ready for 2017 because, seriously, 2016? GTFO. What the hell with all this? Ease up!

So my sad first since I don't wanna focus on it too much but I use these posts to keep a reminder. The start of the month I lost my herd eldest after 2 years of fighting cancer. She was a trooper and the best kitty. And then we had a hurricane. It made for a brutal start to October.

But. I decided to fight depression. I set out to keep busy so I wouldn't think and ...it helped. I'm still heart hurt over losing Sierra but I was able to keep from totally falling apart and have actually been enjoying myself the last two weeks in my adventures...

And, yes, that's a snow plow...in North Carolina... in October.

Tasty Delights-- Crispy Sunchoke and Quinoa Salad

So this one was chock full of things I've never tried! Woo! A couple weeks ago I mentioned trying the HelloFresh subscription and this was one of the recipes in my first box.

It was super easy to make and really fun.

Plus trying new things! I'd never even heard of sunchokes which are a tuber and type of sunflower. Who the heck knew that?! It reminded me of ginger looking at the outside but inside was more like water chestnut. Kinda crunchy until roasted. Kale was a new one for me as well. And I'd never made Quinoa on my own. It always intimidated me but again...super easy! Yay!

3.5 stars-- When a Marquess Loves a Woman (Season's Original #3) by Vivienne Lorret

And so we have Max and Juliet...finally! Seriously yall. I was totally *flailing* about over these two! Lordy but I've been itching for When a Marquess Loves a Woman and getting that front row seat to the showdown between these two. And it was so dang fun.

So. Five things about When a Marques Loves a Woman...

Quote-tastic/Review-- the thrill of the journey -- Heated Pursuit by April Hunt

A new to me for today's Quote-tastic! A sexy security team, a determined heroine, the jungle with danger coming at them from all corners. Ah! Yes! lol

So this first quote. I always love when a character says something then is like oh damn! I did NOT just say that! ha!
