3.5 stars-- Midnight Alias (Killer Instincts #2) by Elle Kennedy

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

This series. Yall. The characters are...fiery. The guys are with a group of mercenaries. The girls are a group of assassins. They're all rather badass and take no shit from each other. It's a good time.

The hero. He was trying so hard to be a good guy and not take advantage. Olivia, though? Well, she had some thoughts on this. So funny.

4 stars-- One Night of Scandal (After Hours #2) by Elle Kennedy

Ahhh yes. One Night of Scandal heated things up quite nicely.
The Gist: Reed and Darcy. Well they've found themselves in a scandalous fling after Darcy breaks up with Reed's best friend and, well, they realize they can't be in arms distance of each other without clothes flying. But it's just a fling. They absolutely will not under any circumstances get serious. Just a fling. Just. A. Fling.

3.5 stars-- Midnight Rescue (Killer Instincts #1) by Elle Kennedy

This series, yall, it's something. A band of female assassins heading off against a team of male mercenaries. And their bosses...who cannot stand one other. Damn inconvenient when their operatives start meeting and falling in love. Damn it all!
The Gist: Abby blew her cover. Got herself thrown in a torture chamber and well and truly fucked. But she had her reasons. 13 of them in fact--young girls about to be sold into sex slavery. She just needed to get close enough to them to mount a one woman rescue. Which got all blown to hell when her boss tapped a group of mercenaries to rescue her. Oy! Now they'll all have to figure a way to get back and save the young ladies before it's too late.

4 stars-- Midnight Games (Killer Instincts, #3) by Elle Kennedy

Holy crap! Now that's how you do a romantic-suspense! A scorching slow burn romance and suspense that'll get your heart pounding. Excellent!
The Gist: Trevor and his team of mercenaries have gone through hell and come out the other side needing help tracking down those responsible. Isabel and the assassins she works with... are just what they need. Their bosses may hate each other but whenever these two are in a room together sparks fly and temptation hits hard and heavy. Even in the face of danger.

[QuoteTastic] 4 stars-- One Night of Trouble (After Hours, #3) by Elle Kennedy

This gave me a good giggle. I love a sassy character. Just makes me happy.
“All right. Ask me.”

She knit her brows. “Ask you what?”

“To be your pretend boyfriend. Isn’t that what this heart-to-heart has been leading to?”

[QuoteTastic] 4 stars-- One Night of Sin (After Hours #1) by Elle Kennedy

Ooo this one was steamy! So the quote. I laughed over it. The heroine is basically wanting a one night stand (or well an alley way quickie) with the hero and he's trying his best to put her off because she's much too young and sweet for that kind of thing. Gave me a laugh.

Quote-tastic/Review-- growl! --Ruled by Elle Kennedy

Elle Kennedy. Woohoo! Yall this series is just good filthy pervy fun.

So jumping right in...This is a menage and it's seriously hot. These three have some tension between them and have been torturing each other a bit. Hot and then Rylan at the end just had me busting out laughing. He's kinda randy and cheeky and has been desperate for Reese for over a year...

3.5 stars-- Addicted (Outlaws #2) by Elle Kennedy

Holy hot dayum. Kennedy knows how to write a scorcher that'll leave you completely satisfied but panting for just... a little... more. Whew! Addicted brought some serious sexy as the Outlaw community is gripped with a sense of foreboding and all kinds of yummy sexual tension sinks it's claws into best friends Lennox and Jamie putting their friendship to the test. The plan? Bide their time training and fucking--danger be damned!-- until whatever's threatening the community finally makes itself known. Mm!

4 stars-- Claimed (Outlaws #1) by Elle Kennedy

Holy hot damn! Elle Kennedy never fails to deliver. Scorching hot, captivating and totally addictive. Claimed was one helluva dirty, sexy, fun ride.

So. Decades ago a massive war hit and everyone now lives under a ruling counsel's thumb--you either live in the cities where everything is controlled and class, religion and free will are all eliminated or...you're outlaws who live outside of the cities and embrace all things wild, wicked and wanton...and you're hunted by the counsel's enforcers. Such is the case with Connor and his men who have suddenly found their lives invaded by a lone female they aren't quite sure they can trust--and that might very well bring danger to their door-- but that they couldn't say no to when she needed help.

A little late with today's Quote-tastic. Sorry about that! But better late than never, right? :D Today is all about Elle Kennedy's latest...Midnight Revenge. I just loved this hero. He's very... well, he's a killing machine and there's not much else to him on the surface. I loved seeing him try to deal with the people that were now in his life...

A fun dirty one today. Ahh how I love those! You guys this series. It's three former Military guys and they've started a dream date service. Heh. Yup they help guys put together dream dates for their women. How freaking awesome is that? It was just a blast. And the guys are freaking sexy as hell. This one I thought was going to be a menage *total squee* but ended up being a m/f only which still was a pretty squee-able story. I can't wait to read the next one. :) Review is down below too.

#AFTH2014--Interview w/ Vivian Arend and Elle Kennedy--puppies, dirty talkers and...naughty cookies!

Soooo we have TWO ladies joining us today. Elle Kennedy and Vivian Arend. Woots! I've been reading on Kennedy's Rom-Sus series and LOVED them and am diving into Arend's now (starting with a series the two co-write and the one we're talking about today) and yay they are SO much fun! Check out our little visit and leave the ladies some comment love!  ~Anna

Mornin' ladies! Come in, come in. Since it's so blasted cold I got the fireplace going and figured hot toddies and some gingerbread would be nice while we chat about your men. *passes around the plate of gingerbread* Um, okay, so here's the thing. They're kind of naughty gingerbread men *looks around innocently* See...one thing led to another and, okay, they're sporting some ginger-wood. It could't be helped! *tries to mask a furious blush* Right, yes, the interview! So, say yall trying to get someone panting right good after your sexy DreamMakers what would you tell them about these guys?

Earlier this year I found Kennedy's Rom-Suspense series and omg it is fabulous yall. If you've got a thing for rom-sus it's definitely one to check out. Lots of action, killer characters--literally--and some nice heat to them too. I just loved the heroine landing that perfect blow to the hero....

Midnight Pursuits (Killer Instincts #4) by Elle Kennedy

"From fascinating and engaging characters to an exciting plot I was all in and completely smitten with Kennedy's writing and the wonderfully unique romance she created." ~herding cats & burning soup
Soldier-for-hire Ethan Hayes is the youngest member of an elite mercenary team. While he may be affectionately nicknamed the rookie, the skills Ethan honed as a Marine make him seriously dangerous. But when a sudden distress call puts him in close quarters with a rival, he finds more than his field skills being put to the test.

Juliet Mason stands out as the master thief in a covert group of assassins and spies. Her latest mission is personal—and it’s gone horribly wrong. Juliet may prefer to work alone, but when the rookie comes to her aid in snowy Eastern Europe, she can’t deny they make a good team. But even up against a powerful enemy, their most challenging task yet may be fighting the passion between them...

Total... bookgasm. It's been a blasted long time since I've found a romantic suspense that had me completely riveted and kept a tight hold on me until the very last page but damn Midnight Pursuits totally had me in it's grip from page one. I flew through this sucker. I'd go about getting something else done around the house and within a few minutes...no-no...I was back turning pages and getting lost in the world Kennedy created. I just...loved it. Assassins. Mercenaries. Kidnappings and corrupt politicians. Revenge and justice finally being served. Sarcasm and heat and all kinds of delicious tension. Merarg. Good!
