3.5 stars-- Marrying Mr. English (The English Brothers 0.5) by Katy Regnery

Aw Marrying Mr. English was a sweet Christmas romance as you jump back in time to the parents from the series and watch them find their happily ever after way back in the 1980s.
The Gist: Tom is in a bind. If he doesn't find a wife in the next couple days...he'll lose his inheritance. Eleanora is a down on her luck waitress who's more than willing to join forces in exchange for a boost to her bank account. Perfect! A quickie marriage and they'll both have everything they wanted and can go their separate ways. But...things rarely go as planned.

4 stars-- Bidding on Brooks (The Winslow Brothers #1) by Katy Regnery

Note: I accidentally deleted 6 months of the blog so this is a repost. All comments on the original posts were unfortunately lost. Sorry!

Sweet, steamy, make you smile goodness. I had a great time with Bidding on Brooks.
The Gist: Family is difficult and when you're the eldest you have to deal with a lot of crap. Like your baby sister auctioning you off for a charity fundraiser. Yeah. Thank goodness for good friends you can convince to buy you out from under a bunch of man hungry society women. Mmhm. Spending a week alone on a sailboat, though? That...will be interesting.

4 stars-- The Bohemian and the Businessman (The Story Sisters #1) by Katy Regnery

Oh dear. The oh so proper hero and the wild child. Yes. These two are as opposite as opposite can be.

The Gist: Shane has a problem. He's after a promotion but his boss's stipulation...he has to be family. Which means marrying one of his daughters. Problem is the one he's expected to marry? Doesn't want a lick to do with him. Her sister, though, has a problem, too. She got herself knocked up and the only way to secure her inheritance is to have been married for a year or turn 40. Until then her wanker of a father is in charge of her trustfund and won't hesitate to kick her out without a dime. A marriage of convenience? Yeah. Yeah that might just fix both their problems. *nods*

3.5 stars-- Claim Me, Cowboy (Copper Ridge: Desire #4) by Maisey Yates

It's always nice spending time with the sexy semi-cowboys* of Cooper Ridge.
The Gist: Joshua's dad decided to take matters into his own hands and placed a "wife wanted" ad in the paper searching for the perfect lady for his son. And the son, well he found out and placed his own ad looking the most unsuitable lady to teach his daddy a lesson. The bedraggled waif of a woman and her baby who showed up on his doorstep...yup...they'll do nicely! They just need to make it convincing and keep it from backfiring on them... as these things do. lol

4 stars-- Breaking Up with Barrett (The English Brothers #1) by Katy Regnery

Awwww Barrett. Brilliant business man. Romantic blunder. lol
The Gist: When it comes to business Barrett's a bit too cut and dry and, maybe, a little bit of a shark when it comes to closing a deal. What he needs is a woman to help soften his edges when he's working those deals. So he asks the family gardener's daughter--who he's been secretly in love with for 24 years to play the part of his fake fiance. Just for a little while. Since she's a struggling college student she's all over that!

[QuoteTastic] 4 stars-- One Night of Trouble (After Hours, #3) by Elle Kennedy

This gave me a good giggle. I love a sassy character. Just makes me happy.
“All right. Ask me.”

She knit her brows. “Ask you what?”

“To be your pretend boyfriend. Isn’t that what this heart-to-heart has been leading to?”

4 Stars-- The Rancher (Where the Trail Ends #4) by Anna Schmidt

Goodness but Schmidt knows how to rip a girls heart out. Yall. The Rancher's not a light and fluffy historical romance but one full of grit, pain, hope, endurance. Characters with strength and conviction. And others who struggle to do what's right. Hard choices are made. Friendships lost. Lives changed forever. It's one heck of a read.
The Gist: There's a war brewing between cattle and sheep ranchers who will go to any lengths to win the land be it murder, raids, burning homes. Times are dark but Trey has a hope he can bring everyone together and find a way to peacefully coexist. Even if it means a marriage of convenience to a widow of one of the sheep farmers.
