The Gist: It's Christmas and two fellas meet at an airport bar after their flights home for Christmas are canceled due to snow. Their women? Well, they're not going to let a little snow get in the way of Christmas with their men. Sure not.

4 stars-- Two Men Walk into a Bar (at Christmastime) by Katy Regnery
A short story and it made me cry. Dammit! lol Yall. Two Men Walk into a Bar (at Christmastime) was so cute! It's a catch up with two previous couples-- Asher/Savannah from The Vet and the Vixen and Zach/Violet from Playing for Love at Deep Haven. Impossible not to love.

3 stars-- Merry Ex-Mas (Life in Icicle Falls #2) by Sheila Roberts
Ahhh! I wanted a warm fuzzy Christmas comfort read. Merry Ex-Mas was not it. It was a bit depressing, really. It was my first from Roberts and while I didn't hate it I really didn't love it either.
The Gist: A group of girlfriends who have been unlucky in love are having to deal with their ex-s. One ex coming back for their daughter's wedding (with new wife in tow), one ex wanting a second chance, and a young couple recently divorced and wondering if they've been too hasty.

3.5 stars-- Marrying Mr. English (The English Brothers 0.5) by Katy Regnery
Aw Marrying Mr. English was a sweet Christmas romance as you jump back in time to the parents from the series and watch them find their happily ever after way back in the 1980s.
The Gist: Tom is in a bind. If he doesn't find a wife in the next couple days...he'll lose his inheritance. Eleanora is a down on her luck waitress who's more than willing to join forces in exchange for a boost to her bank account. Perfect! A quickie marriage and they'll both have everything they wanted and can go their separate ways. But...things rarely go as planned.

1.5 stars-- Mistletoe in Texas (Texas Rodeo #5) by Kari Lynn Dell
What an utter disappointment. Both Mistletoe in Texas AND the author herself. Before I get into the review I want to note that after I posted my review to Goodreads last year the author went on her Facebook page complaining and sending readers over to Goodreads to try and manipulate the ratings in order to move my review lower in the ranks as well as having people flag my account. Charming behavior, really. She is no longer on my recommend list even for the books I absolutely adored by her. This is abhorrent behavior by an author and her apology was simply an attempt to cover her ass and bad behavior.
Now the review...
Mistletoe in Texas would be an awesome read...if every single scene with the heroine was eliminated.

[AtoZ] Unbroken Cowboy (Gold Valley #5) by Maisey Yates
Well these two were a handful.
The Gist: A devastating rodeo accident has left Dane's body and future in shambles. It's also put him in Bea's reach...finally. She's had a crush on him for decades and is dealing with her own bit of uncertainty about the future and trying to figure out what to do next. Bonus if it includes Dane.So yes. Serious. These two were a handful. A. Hand. Full. lol

[AtoZ] 3.5 stars -- A Nice Day for a Cowboy Wedding (A Mile High Romance #4) by Nicole Helm
Cowboys and Nicole Helm? I. Was. In!
The Gist: Shane's current mission? Stopping his mom's upcoming wedding. Cora's mission? Making sure that wedding happens come hell or high water. And get that reluctant cowboy to walk his mama down the aisle. *nods*

4 stars-- Hot Asset (21 Wall Street #1) by Lauren Layne

Whoa. It's been an age since I did a quote-tastic post. Sorry about that for those who have joined in on them. I'm going to try to start doing them on Thursdays again. Fingers crossed, yall.
Anywho. This scene cracked me up. I love a cheeky character. lol

1.5 stars-- Dark Moon (Spirit Wild #3) by Kate Douglas
Oh my word. It's not often it happens but I was seriously yelling at my book "Okay! OKAY! Yall need to stop fucking. Stop it! Put that cock down! You've had enough! How can you even walk? Aren't you chaffing?! Just...stop with the cocks!"
There was so much sex.

Charming (A Cinderella Billionaire Story #1) by Sophie Brooks
Charming was, indeed, charming. I love fairytale retellings and unique meet-cutes? Even better.
The Gist: Ford and Autumn? The meet when he calls into the fantasy hotline--where Autumn works--looking to get his rocks off. Okay, well, maybe just to talk. Really. That's all he wants. Not the "naughty nurse" or the "sexy submissive" just Autumn. So he calls. And they talk. Often. Until one night an emergency brings their relationship off the phones and into real life.

3 stars-- Playing for Keeps (Heartbreaker Bay #7) by Jill Shalvis
Yall know I love me some Jill Shalvis. And I've enjoyed this series quite a bit. But Playing for Keeps and I had some issues. Namely the heroine. Which was frustrating because the hero and the pup? Adorable!
Gist: A homeless pup in need of an owner finds herself...two! Does she care that her new mommy and daddy don't like each other? Nope! She surely doesn't. She loves them and she's not giving either up. So Caleb and Sadie are just gonna have to get along and figure out a way to co-pet-parent. For their new puppy's sake.

[3.5 stars] Whiskey Rebellion (Addison Holmes Mysteries #1) by Liliana Hart
3.5 stars, 1.5 heat
Whiskey Rebellion has been sitting on my tbr pile for, well, ages. I finally dove in! Yay me! And while a little over the top in places it was so much fun!
Whiskey Rebellion has been sitting on my tbr pile for, well, ages. I finally dove in! Yay me! And while a little over the top in places it was so much fun!
The Gist: Addison has her eye on a new place-- her apartment is being condemned. And the girl LOVES her creature comforts. Which means...she needs money. Pronto. If she's gotta play stripper to pay the bills...well, she's gotta do what she's gotta do. *nods* Finding a dead body her first night might put a stop to that real quick, though.

Ghostly Paws (Mystic Notch #1) by Leighann Dobbs
Bookstore owners, kitties with a mission, a murdered librarian. Oh. My! Ghostly Paws was a spooktacular good time.
The Gist: On her way to work Willa noticed the library doors open earlier than they should have been and went investigating aaaaaaaand found the librarian dead at the bottom of the stairs. A simple fall...probably. Maybe. But something is off. She's sure of it. Especially when the librarian's ghost comes to visit her. O.o

Hot As Sin (Bad Habit #3.5) by J.T. Geissinger
Oh Barney. He was one of my favorite secondary characters throughout this series and I've been dying for more of him. Hot as Sin, though. Totally bittersweet.
The Gist: For years Barney has protected the guys in the Bad Habit band. They're his family. But he's leaving them to take a job across the country. And this was the big goodbye.

The Cottage on the Corner (Apple Valley #2) by Shirlee McCoy
The Cottage on the Corner...yall. It made me hungry! For baked goods and sexy cops. Ha!
The Gist: Max is a ladies man. He loves them all. Though he doesn't know what to do with the two new ladies in his life... his three year old daughter who was a complete surprise and has been abandoned on his doorstep. Or the sexy baker who's got no time for men but turns out to be his saving grace when it comes to sudden daddy-hood and caring for a little girl.

The Christmas Bear Brothers by Harmony Raines

The Christmas Bear Brothers series is all about three brother bears. Bachelors. But not by choice. They want a change. They want their mates! Dang it! Where are their mates! Alas, they'll spend yet another Christmas working --a cop, a fireman and an EMT-- so coworkers can spend time with their families. Unless Fate steps in...

The House on Main Street (Apple Valley #1) by Shirlee McCoy
I am such a sucker for a pretty house and a winter wonderland. Basically, The House on Main Street was all OMG Anna! You neeeeed me!
The Gist: Tessa's found herself back in her small hometown--the last place she wants to be-- caring for her young nephew after her sister's death and cleaning up all of the messes she left behind. Not to mention coming face to face with her childhood crush? Well. It's a lot for a girl to handle on a good day.

3.5 stars-- A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas (Gold Valley #4) by Maisey Yates
Christmas and grumbly cowboys? Yes, please! lol
A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas was a heart touching romance that had me wiping away some pesky tears, laughing, and rooting for two damaged yet strong individuals.
A Tall, Dark Cowboy Christmas was a heart touching romance that had me wiping away some pesky tears, laughing, and rooting for two damaged yet strong individuals.
The Gist: Grant's found a woman sleeping in an abandoned cabin on his property. Turns out she's homeless and a bit prickly. Suits him just fine since he's a bit of an asshole, too. Might be they're exactly what the other needs to soften some of those sharp edges.

4 stars-- Cowboy SEAL Christmas (Navy SEAL Cowboys #3) by Nicole Helm
Sometimes the ones with the biggest smiles are the ones hiding the most hurt and pain. Cowboy SEAL Christmas tugged at the heart, yall. Whew boy!
The Gist: Gabe is not fond of therapists. That the foundation he's co-building to help military veterans has an on site therapist..irksome to say the least. That she's got a cool kid and is a great mom and is scorching hot...yeah. Color him real annoyed. And, dammit, tempted. Even if she's all about Christmas cheer and he's got a whole Grinch thing going on. lol

[quote-tastic] Her Cowboy Billionaire Best Friend (Christmas in Coral Canyon #1) by Liz Isaacson
So a quote today that made me smile. Graham and Laney are a bit older than the typical romance hero and heroine (in their 40s) and they're really rather hesitant and shy about starting things up. Something about that to me is just so dang sweet.

3.5 stars-- Secretly Smitten (Smitten #2) Anthology
Secretly Smitten was full of romance as a trio of sisters and their mother find love while trying to solve a decades old mystery involving their grandmother and her beau who was killed in the war--but might have survived somehow.
