#BloggerShame, yall. Blogger Shame. I read The Danger of Desire way back before it released last year and then... I forgot to review it. By the time I realized, yeah, I couldn't remember details so had to re-read. And, oh, I had just as much fun this time!
The Gist: Family is difficult. And meddlesome. And sometimes that lands you watching over a chit you don't even know and who's courting scandal with apparent relish! I mean, honestly, men's clothing, late night prowling, gambling in the hells?! What's a rakish Marquess to do with a woman like that?! Drive her mad and make her his, of course!

3.5 star-- The Girl Who Knew Too Much by Amanda Quick

Amanda Quick! I've loved her books basically since I started reading. She's always got such interesting characters and nice mysteries. This one was a bit of a departure from her norm... it's set in 1930s Hollywood. Oo!
It was pretty fun. These two quotes just gave me a little smile. He may have found some of her ways a spot exasperating...

Audio Files-- Love in a Nutshell & The Husband List by Janet Evanovich & Dorien Kelly
I've been on a Janet Evanovich binge- listen lately and having a lot of fun with them. This time it was two books featuring heroes that were brewers--one present day and one historical.

4 stars-- Accidentally on Purpose (Heartbreaker Bay #3) by Jill Shalvis
*goofy reader girl dance* Yes! Accidentally on Purpose...total book noms. This was actually my first 2017 read and, gah, the magical world of Jill Shalvis is seriously my happy place.
So basically... Elle and Archer have wanted each other for practically ever. But they're difficult. And clueless. And think the other just wants to be friends or just tolerates them *hangs head* Dude. Everyone knows they want in each others panties. Every. One. Except them. lol Elle moving on and deciding to date other men? Well. That's Archer's breaking point. Rational thought...goodbye. No one is getting his girl but him. And so a battle of wills begins.

2 stars-- A Perfect Compromise (New Jersey Ice Cats #4) by Anna Sugden
A Perfect Compromise is one of those books where the writing is pleasant and I liked the heroine but the hero is a fucking asshole prick who needs to grow the fuck up and get over himself. I honestly didn't want him to have a happily ever after and wish she'd leave his sorry useless self-centered ass and find a real man. Because it is not him. Gah! He's the perfect candidate for dick removal because he surely wasn't responsible or worthy of his.
The quick of it is that Issy and JB meet on vacation and one thing leads to a broken condom and a couple months later them dealing with their vacation fling coming back to haunt them. Yeah. They fully expected a good time and then to go their separate ways with fond memories but now they're having to deal with a pregnancy and what it means to their futures. And not everyone is handling it well...

1 star-- Dazzling (Diamond Trilogy #1) by Elizabeth Hayley
IT'S A CLIFFHANGER!!! *rage, yall, rage*
I'm feeling rather pissy right now over Dazzling. This was my first time reading this writing duo and likely my last. I'm so disappointed, yall!
The premise started out well enough-- rich hero falls for poor--and reluctant-- heroine and sets out to win her over.

2 stars-- Blazing Hot Cowboy (Smokin’ Hot Cowboys #2) by Kim Redford
Blazing How Cowboy. *pets the gorgeous cover* Really it was just impossible for me to resist a cowboy firefighter. And for the most part it was a decent read. But, sadly, in the end it fell short for me.
The quick of it is that the heroine has just come back home after 13 years away. She's a widow, has a young daughter and needs to start fresh. And her high school sweet heart is ready to jump in and help any way he can.

3.5 stars-- When All The Girls Have Gone by Jayne Ann Krentz
Ahh Jayne Ann Krentz. A favorite of mine. I just can't resist her books and with such a gorgeous cover...I was in. When All The Girls Have Gone was a very nice murder mystery and what I hope will be the kick off to a new series.

Audio Files-- Wicked Appetite, Wicked Business, & Wicked Charms by Janet Evanovich
A little silly, a spot outrageous, and a whole lotta fun. Full of dynamic characters, crazy adventures and a touch of woo-woo these were mysteries that had me craving more. I couldn't not listen to these fast enough and seriously lamented the fact the series isn't finished. lol I decided to do a 'series' review since I binge listened to the series.

4 stars-- A Wedding in Maine (McCullagh Inn #2) by Jen McLaughlin
A Wedding in Maine was a cute follow up to book one of the series. This go-round? Chelsea and Jeremy are settling in to their new life running an Inn and the idea of...getting married. Things are good but then strange things start happening. Mishaps at the inn, things just slightly out of place, her dad getting out of jail. It's enough to make a soon-to-be-bride's eye twitch!

4 stars-- On Broken Wings (Wild Aces #3) by Chanel Cleeton
*sniffles*
Seriously, yall. On Broken Wings grabbed my heart, twisted me about, and put me back together again. And I managed to cry way less than I'd expected. I totally made it to page 3 before bursting out in tears and all the way to page 28 before the consumption of 2 super slutty brownies and another two crying jags hit. lol

Quote-tastic/Review-- now that's my kind of meditation!-- Hard Hitter by Sarina Bowen
Kicking off 2017 with one freaking fabulous quote-tastic read, yall. Hard Hitter by Sarina Bowen. *pets the sexy cover* Holy cow am I hooked! This one is the team's captain and the team's physical therapist and yoga instructor.
I was totally cracking up over these two. He doesn't so much like being touched and meditation? Lordy, no thanks! She totally rocked it with her response...Monday, December 26, 2016
4 stars-- Last Chance Cowboys: The Lawman (Where the Trail Ends #2) by Anna Schmidt
My last review of 2016! And I loved it! There's something about this dusty Texas town that pulls me in completely! The Lawman hit the spot and left me even more smitten with Schmidt's writing.

Christmas Quickies-- Hot Winter Nights by Codi Gary & I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas by Molly Harper
Hot Winter Nights (Bear Mountain Rescue #1) by Codi Gary
This was a fun winter quickie. New girl in town. Two tempting men...who happen to be best friends. Adorable canine companions. A winter storm. Yep. Good times.

4 stars-- A Christmas Bride (Chapel of Love #1) by Hope Ramsay
Ramsay has a lovely way of mending hearts and broken souls. Love, hope, a little humor. A Christmas Bride was a beautiful romance and start to a new series.
The quick of it is that after many years away Willow's life has gone sideways and she's come home to start over. And it's brought her face to face with the world her best friend left behind when she was tragically killed years earlier. A husband and young child still struggling through the loss and a falling apart inn that her friend dreamed of restoring. And they speak to her soul in a way little has for a very long time. A little Christmas magic in the air, a determined spirit, and the strength of family and friends might bring a bit of happiness in time for the holidays.

3 stars-- The Hero (Sons of Texas #1) by Donna Grant
My first Donna Grant! I couldn't resist the cover for The Hero. Goodness it's yummy! I mean, seriously pet-able! lol And it was a decent read, too, though I did have a couple quibbles.

4 stars-- Mistletoe Games Anthology by Jaci Burton
Hockey! Baseball! Surfers! A plethora of sexy athletes ready to heat up the holidays. Noms! Mistletoe Games was a solid Christmas anthology that'll get a girl all hot and bothered and quite possibly on Santa's Naughty List.
One thing before you dive in. All of the novellas in this anthology have been previously released in ebook format so double check before you one-click. I don't want anyone disappointed because they've already read them.
A little about each. And yall...these covers! #Dies #Covergasms

Quote-tastic/Review-- Wolf Unleashed (SWAT #5) by Paige Tyler

This is one of the few paranormal series I read these days and Oh I love it! A whole SWAT team of alpha werewolves. Noms! Great romance and fun characters plus some nice suspense. This time one of the guys and the vet who takes care of the team's dog. Love that! Two quotes today. There were a handful of pets in this one and this one just cracked me up and gave me a giggle over the heroine and her naming.
