2 stars-- Accidentally Hers (Sterling Canyon, #1) by Jamie Beck

Such a cute cover! I was like yes! I need this! But, yall, there was a struggle. Accidentally Hers was not my cuppa at all.

The Gist: Grey was just minding his own business when a drunk driver hit him. Turns out it's the brother of the girl who'd caught his eye. A sticky spot to be put in for sure. Especially when his injuries keep him from actually doing his job and legal matters have to be taken into consideration.

3.5 stars-- Forbidden Fling (Wildwood, #1) by Skye Jordan

Whew! Talk about some sizzling chemistry! I enjoyed Forbidden Fling quite a bit. A flawed hero, a heroine out of options, life dreams at odds with one another, undeniable attraction, a family feud. It kept me eagerly listening.

The Gist:
Delaney inherited a vacant bar. It's pretty much sat crumbing for years but with the threat of demolition it's now or never where renovation is concerned. But her presence and reviving the bar bring up all sorts of ugly memories connected with a death on it's premises years earlier and  put a snag in Ethan's future as well.

4 stars-- Just To Be With You (Seattle Sullivans #4) by Bella Andre

Bella Andre is such a comfort read. Just to Be With You had some sexy, some sweet and as usual was just a good time spent reading.

The Gist: Tatiana's been smitten with Ian Sullivan since meeting him at a wedding. When she realizes she needs help figuring out an upcoming movie role she's all over asking the handsome CEO if she can shadow him for a little while. If she can convince him to fall madly in love with her, too? Even better!

4 stars-- Killer Jam (Dewberry Farm #1) by Karen MacInerney

I've been using audio to try new authors and decided to give Killer Jam a try because I like the narrator. And it was good, yall! I might have even listened to it twice now because I forgot to review it the first go around. Oops! It was just as entertaining the second time, though, which is impressive.
The Gist: During the town festival someone met their maker in the jam tent. And Lucy? Well, she's the main suspect. She and the dead lady had been having a disagreement over Lucy's newly purchased farm and been overheard. Damn timing! With a lazy Sheriff on the case it's up to Lucy to clear her own name and hunt down the real killer.

4 stars-- Make Me Sin (Bad Habit #2) by J.T. Geissinger

Yall! I've found a new favorite series! Geissinger has totally blown me away with these. They've got so many layers and even though there's some dark elements there are some hilarious ones.

This had me chuckling. Chloe's late to a bridal fitting for one of her best friends...

4 stars-- The Dispatcher by John Scalzi

Oh this was fun. The Dispatcher was a little different than my normal grab but I've been on an audio binge lately and it was in my cloud and I figured...why not. It's quick read but quite entertaining.

The Story:

The basic gist is that you can no longer be murdered. Well, not easily. If someone kills you? Your body kind of goes poof! and you wind up back at your home all in one piece--though naked-- and ready to have another go at things.

And the hero, Tony? He kills people.

4 stars-- Kidnapped Cowboy (Captured Hearts #1) by Lindsey Brookes

My friend Kelly sent me the audio for Kidnapped Cowboy back last year and I just loved it! But then I forgot to write a review *hangs head* so I decided to do a re-listen just for the heck of it because, really, cowboys! And it was just as fun the second go-round :)

Audio Files-- The Quiche of Death (Agatha Raisin #1) by M.C. Beaton

I've been trying out all kinds of new audiobooks lately. My mom LOVES Beaton so I figured I'd give one of them a try. I actually streamed this from one of the Audible channels for free. Yay!

Audio Files-- Smitten Book Club (Smitten #3) Anthology

Smitten Book Club was my first time with the narrator, series, and all four of the authors-- Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Denise Hunter and Diann Hunt. And I had a good time with them. Sweet, heartwarming, and a charming look into a small town.

Christmas Quickies-- Hot Winter Nights by Codi Gary & I'm Dreaming of an Undead Christmas by Molly Harper

Hot Winter Nights (Bear Mountain Rescue #1) by Codi Gary

This was a fun winter quickie. New girl in town. Two tempting men...who happen to be best friends. Adorable canine companions. A winter storm. Yep. Good times.

Audio Files-- W is for Wasted by Sue Grafton

W is for Wasted (Kinsey Millhone #23) by Sue Grafton

The Story:

If you haven't read this series it's pretty fun. It's set in the 80s but being written currently. So no cell phones, internet, etc. It's kinda trippy sometimes but a good time. Kinsey is an investigator and always getting pulled into strange cases. This time a dead homeless man that somehow has ties to her and may have been linked to a shady medical program. I always enjoy Kinsey. She's blunt and has a bit of a give-no-fucks attitude but she cares for those people who are in her circle and for finding the truth. The mystery was decent and while not too difficult to figure things out it was still fun watching it all piece together. On the romance front a few past love interests make appearances but nothing romanticky happens. Just passing story points and characters. Maybe one day she'll find her guy. The story did drag a little bit but I'm not sure if that was the story or having done it on audiobook since this is my first time reading one this way.

I 'read' my first Audiobook!!!! Carolina Blues (Dare Island #4) by Virginia Kantra (@BerkleyRomance @audible)

Jack Rossi is Dare Island’s new police chief. The laid-back North Carolina community is just what he needs to recover from a rocky marriage and a big-city police department.  He’s learned his lesson: no more high-profile women or high-pressure jobs. The last thing he wants is an unconventional alt girl rocking his world.

Grad student Lauren Patterson made headlines when she kept a bank robbery from going bad.  She’s fled to Dare Island to clear her head and focus on writing her story. However, sexy Jack Rossi is a distraction that’s too hot to ignore, and it’s igniting an affair too combustible to resist—or quit.

But when their pasts come looking for them, Jack and Lauren find themselves fighting for the future they deserve, whatever the price.

Type: Contemporary Romance
Heat: 3 out of 5
Rating: 4 out of 5

Woots! I read my first audiobook all the way through!! It took me dang near 3 weeks but I made it! And....I kinda liked it. So never thought I'd say that about an audio book. But I really did. Carolina Blues was one of those reads that was just...comfortable. It kept giving me that feeling like...ah, I'm home. If that makes any sense? It was an easy relaxing read as Lauren comes to Dare Island to find her writing mojo and finds one deliciously sexy cop along the way that fires her all up in the best possible ways.
