4.5 stars-- Marry in Haste (Marriage of Convenience #1) by Anne Gracie

Oh. My. Word. Marry in Haste was a wonderful beginning to her newest series. Full of hope, humor, second chances and new beginnings. It was everything wonderful with Gracie's writing and will sweep you away and leave you utterly spent and satisfied.

Okay, okay, so the background bits behind the awesome. Cal is a military man. 4 stars-- The Summer Bride (Chance Sisters #4) by Anne Gracie

Oh I just loved it! The Summer Bride was the perfect end to a stunning series from Gracie. The characters, the romance, the humor and passion all came together for an absolutely charming experience as the last Chance "sister" meets her match in a cocky Irishman who has a naughty gleam in his eye.

The quick of it is that Flynn is searching for the perfect wife--elegant, classy, and a true Lady. And he's found himself incredibly bored with the polite, reserved women who fit that bill. His good friend Daisy, however, is another story. She'd rather dress the ladies of the ton than be a lady herself. She's crass, headstrong, ambitious and tempting him something fierce! She'll be damned if romance will get in her way, though. She's got things to do! Step aside, Flynn! Step aside! lol

The Spring Bride (Chance Sisters #3) by Anne Gracie

Gracie is just a lovely writer and easily sweeps you away into the world of her characters. The Spring Bride was altogether charming. Sweet, funny and just a wonderful romance as sensible, practical Jane crosses paths with the ever exasperating and wildly inappropriate Zachary Black. A most unsuitable man and one that makes her question everything she thought she wanted for her future.

The quick of it is that Jane's childhood was scary and unstable and now she's determined to make a wedding match that'll leave her life safe and secure. And everything is right on schedule except for one very persistent gypsy who is full of trouble and determined to get to know her better. All while he's secretly battling being accused of murder and having a relative try to steal his inheritance. To say life is busy would be an understatement. lol

The Winter Bride (Chance Sisters #2) by Anne Gracie

Damaris Chance’s unhappy past has turned her off the idea of marriage forever. But her guardian, Lady Beatrice Davenham, convinces her to make her coming out anyway—and have a season of carefree, uncomplicated fun.

When Damaris finds herself trapped in a compromising situation with the handsome rake Freddy Monkton-Coombes, she has no choice but to agree to wed him—as long as it’s in name only. Her new husband seems to accept her terms, but Freddy has a plan of his own: to seduce his reluctant winter bride. (Not sure where they got this from at all since it's not the case in the actual book--it's a case of fake mates not a forced marriage)

Will Damaris’s secrets destroy her chance at true happiness? Or can Freddy help her cast off the shackles of the past, and yield to delicious temptation?

Type: Historical Romance
Heat: 3 out of 5
Rating: 4 out of 5
Series: Best read in order though not a must

Fake betrothals, passion, humor and a wonderfully charming hero and heroine made The Winter Bride a winner in my book. Add in an utterly unique series set up and I'm even more on board. I love when authors bring something fresh to the table and Gracie definitely brought an interesting set up as the Chance sisters--who aren't really sisters--are brought together to form a family and given a second chance to overcome their sordid pasts. And maybe love along the way.
