Quote-tastic-- *said with an Irish lilt*

Another week where I didn't have a review book for Quote-tastic. *flails* But perfect because I was feeling like some Eve and Roarke today.

I reviewed New York to Dallas a year or so ago and, as always, loved it. These two are just my favorite pretty much anything when it comes to reading-- the prickly police lieutenant and her reformed bad boy husband who rocks a sexy Irish lilt. At this point they'd had like 33 books together as a couple and seeing their marriage over the years has been a lot of fun. Romantic bits and snarky growly bits. This one just killed me...

Randomly Random-- My "Pajama" Authors

Pajama Authors.

There are some authors that are like your favorite pair of comfy pajamas. They just make you want to snuggle down, give a happy sigh and bask a little because they feel so good. Pajama Authors.

I've got a few of them. When I grab up their books I instantly feel comfortable no matter the subject, the characters, the world they've created. I have that soul deep sigh like I've found my way back home for just a little while. It's such a good feeling. They're more than just favorite authors. I've got dozens of those (yay!). These ladies give a an extra special little ping of home and comfort and soothe the soul that really sets them apart.

So. Who are my Pajama Authors?

3 stars--Down the Rabbit Hole by Robb, Blayney, Fox, McComas and Ryan

paranormal romance, alice in wonderland, jd robb, mary blaney, elaine fox, mary kay mccomas, rc ryan
Fun, curious and head spinning fun. Down the Rabbit Hole was an entertaining anthology as 5 authors gave Alice in Wonderland their own personal spin.

Robb is one of my favorites so I was all in for giving this antho a go and it was a lot of fun. Each take was unique and interesting. I had favorites--Robb and Ryan and a couple misses as well--Fox and McComas--but all in all it was a twisty fun ride Down the Rabbit Hole.

New York to Dallas (In Death #33) by JD Robb

Twelve years ago, Eve Dallas was just a rookie NY cop when her instincts led her to the apartment of Isaac McQueen, a man she discovered to be a sick murderer and pedophile, who was keeping young girls in cages.

Now a homicide Lieutenant, Eve is one of the most distinguished officers in the city—and then she learns that McQueen has escaped from jail. Bent on revenge against Eve and with a need to punish more "bad girls" McQueen heads to Dallas, Texas—the place where Eve was found as a child, the place where she killed her own abusive monster when she was only eight years old. With Eve and Roarke in pursuit of McQueen, everything is on the line and secrets from Eve's past are about to be shockingly revealed.

Amazon | All Romance | Book Depository | BAM |Goodreads
33 books into the In Death series and JD Robb continues to impress the hell out of me and leave me excited for more. I love the world she's created, the characters and finding out a little more about them--I'll admit it's my comfort series and one I can't get enough of and New York to Dallas? It was a little different than the rest of the books in the series--starting with the title, how things played out and the location since this time nearly the entire book took place outside of New York--and it was incredible.

Naked in Death (In Death #1) by JD Robb

In hardcover for the first time, here is the novel that started it all-the first book in J. D. Robb's number-one New York Times-bestselling In Death series, featuring New York City homicide detective Lieutenant Eve Dallas and Roarke.

It is the year 2058, and technology now completely rules the world. But New York City Detective Eve Dallas knows that the irresistible impulses of the human heart are still ruled by just one thing-passion.
When a senator's daughter is killed, the secret life of prostitution she'd been leading is revealed. The high-profile case takes Lieutenant Eve Dallas into the rarefied circles of Washing-ton politics and society. Further complicating matters is Eve's growing attraction to Roarke, who is one of the wealthiest and most influential men on the planet, devilishly handsome... and the leading suspect in the investigation.

The Unquiet anthology

Type: Paranormal Romance
Heat: 2 out of 5
Rating: 4 out of 5

This turned out to be a delightful anthology. They are so hit or miss but this one worked for me. All of the stories were interesting, different enough from one another so not to blend into each other and were quite creative. I wouldn't hesitate to pick up another anthology with these authors.
