I FINISHED A BOOK!!!! Yall! It had been nearly 3 weeks. Three. Weeks! I cooked a meal, too. Nothing fancy but can't actually remember the last time I turned on the stove! I had to force myself to do both but I did them. So there's a start at least. lol

Non bookish news. The food pantry was an absolute mad house. My fitbit died and I had to get a replacement that I don't love but it lets me have a cat face on the screen so that's kind of fun.

Instacart went well. I hit my weekly goal again which is exciting. I'm determined to pay this mortgage off early. Plus it's kind of fun. Though damn other instacart shoppers are bitter ugly people. If you hate your job...find something else. Goodness.

It got cold here. 40s overnight this coming week 70s during the day. Not cold to some but since we were mid90s last week it's a chill. I've replaced about a third of the garden and have another third to go. Need to set up a green house, too, so that's the current

Yikes yall! I haven't read since September 19th! I finally made myself read on Oct 4th but it was like 10 minutes and then I was done. Not the book's fault. It's actually good. It's all me. I'm just not in the mood to read...at all. Or cook. Or garden. Apparently September broke me some how. lol

Um. Not sure what happened to the past week. It just flew by. I did have the USO and Food Pantry. The pantry was fine. The USO was not. We had someone join our group for the shift and I did not like her one single bit. One of the guys loved her and invited her back any time. Ugh! So I may be skipping USO shifts if she joins again.

Other than that. Hmm. I didn't do much reading. I just wasn't into it this week. I did get a drone! And promptly flew it into a wall, freaked out a cat and then lost it the next day for a good half hour when I went to the park. lol I can get it up and have it stay in the air somewhat where I want it now. So we'll see how it goes this coming week. lol

Did some gardening. It's eh. I'm pulling most of my summer plants that are struggling which makes me sad. And putting in some fall/winter ones. I'm trying to grow from seeds and yall that's hard for me apparently! lol I am not a good seedling mom at all.

Yall I'm worn out. It was a long (two) weeks. Nothing bad just a little of everything. I skipped posting last week mainly because I was lazy and then when I finally got around to finishing the meme post it was time for this week's meme post. lol So they're combined. 

Mom is doing great! She's home and behaving post surgery. She said it's not as bad as expected and no worse than it was pre-surgery so that's good. Thank you for all the prayers for her. Lotus is home, too, but having a little struggle. She's 19 and mom is worried.

The food pantry was fine mostly. Nothing really notable. USO as well. Good to see the guys as usual.

First up! Mom's knee replacement surgery is today! We could use all the prayers, please. I'm a nervous kiddo. She goes in at 10am and will be done by 1pm if all goes as scheduled. One of her kitties (Lotus) is having surgery today, too. So any prayers for my mom (Martha) and Lotus and their medical teams would be greatly appreciated!

Whew a week! LOTS of yard work. Ridiculous amount of yardwork. I'm starting to put in my fall garden so there was a lot of planting and starting to pull some summer plants. And working on a raised bed around one of the trees. 

I did a bunch of sunset chasing. It's been hot and humid here but gorgeous sunsets most nights.

Hm. Not too much else. Food pantry was fine, the herd is doing okay though they're driving me bonkers.

This week was busy once again. Just a lot of random around the house and errands and chasing sunsets for a post. 

The food pantry was pretty busy. It was good, though. I did some babysitting while there which was different. And helped someone with their resume.

Rain has been ridiculous here this year. We go weeks on weeks with no rain at all (and 90-100 degree days) and then we have 2+ inches in 2 hours. Then...no rain in forever. Lordy yall. I might have gotten stuck between two flooded out roads and it took me 45 minutes to go 4 miles. lol

Other than that this week was okay. The food pantry was decently busy.

Woo! Another busy week. We had some really freaking scary rain where you could feel the dang sizzle from the lightning hitting.  The garden loved it, though.

USO and Food Pantry were both slammed. And two of my regulars were out of town so I had a sub at the food pantry and Ken and I had a filler lady at the USO. They were good, though!
Jeremy is doing really great on his thyroid meds. He's back to his bubbly self and seems to have even gained a little of his weight back. Mo survived his accidental medicating and is as bratty as ever.

There's a baby watermelon!!!! And baby peas! YALL I CAN'T EVEN!

Whew boy, yall. It was a week. The normal things were fine. Food pantry was insanely busy. We had exactly 4 minutes of down time in 3 hours. Whew!

But then...the herd. Jeremy decided to give me a big scare. He started hiding and wouldn't eat, lost a bunch of weight, couldn't control his guts. So a vet visit. Turns out he's got a thyroid issue. A couple days on meds and he's getting some of his perk back. Whew!!

So last week. It was pretty good. I did a CRAZY amount of couponing and got over $500 in groceries for...like 19 bucks. Bwahaha It was amazing.

USO and the Food Pantry were both good. Both were super busy, though. We usually have a little down time each shift but nope up and moving the whole time.

Well. I can't even remember the week. lol I cleaned and gardened and read. Had a stare off with an unexpected snake and didn't leave the house for nearly 24 hours after because oh my god nope! Had the food pantry on Wednesday and it went fine other than that one assy volunteer who's always snotty to me. Ugh at bitchy women. smh

Oh. Pumpkin update for yall who were here last week! My baby is getting so big!

It was a busy but good week here. I had the USO and food pantry. Both were quite busy and we were down a man at the USO so it kept us moving the whole shift.

I did some gardening and work around the house. I have my first pumpkin, yall!!

The only other notable thing is I'm searching for a new bank. My current (SunTrust) is combining with my former (BB&T) and I'd rather burn my money than have anything to do with BB&T so...a search has begun. I might look into a credit union for the first time. We shall see.

We finally had rain!!!!! LOTS AND LOTS OF RAIN!!! And it's been amazing! We went 30+ days with no rain and a good chunk of those 93-98 degrees so it was getting rather dire. And, yes, I know a lot are having the exact opposite issue and having too much rain but no rain is pretty terrible, too.

I had the food pantry and it was semi-quiet. One extremely rude and entitled individual came in but other than her it was a good shift.

June kicked off a little cooler! We got our first rain in a month and it was glorious! Took temps down a good 10 degrees for the next week. 

It was a pretty busy week here. Had the USO and food pantry. A little slow at the pantry but the USO was busy from the holiday weekend. 

I had a bunch of couponing with an event happening at our store which is always fun. Got a ton to donate plus a few new items to try out for free.

Wow it was a busy week and freaking HOT!

I had the food pantry which went well. Busy and my regular shift mate was out of town but one of his friends came to lend a hand so I wasn't alone which was nice.

I did a LOT of garden watering and that's about it. It hasn't rained more than a fifth of an inch this month and it's been in the 90s all week. We're supposed to hit 97/98 later this week. Yall. I can't. lol

Well we survived the week. It is already getting brutal hot here. My poor little garden isn't any happier about it than I am. lol Mid 90s is just so darn rude for mid May.

Not too much else. Food pantry was fairly busy and the USO went well this past week. It was good to see my USO people. They always shore up my spirits.

I read a bit and worked in the yard. Tossed stuff. So good things.
