We're NINE! and...I'm Back! Woot!

Well, guys! We're 9 years old today. I know I've not been around. I basically took all of 2020 off didn't I? Oops! lol The year managed to get away from me somehow. I did a couple gardening posts but pretty much just stuck to Facebook group and puttered around there. I'm hoping to come back though and blog more often. Kinda excited about it. This year. We'll it was an adventure in a couple of ways. Those of yall that are in the FB group know a lot of it and I'll post some stuff here the next little while I'm sure. 

Thanks for being part of my life this past nine years. It's been an amazing time and I've loved knowing all of yall. I hope you had a wonderful start to 2021. I'll see yall around hopefully!

We're EIGHT Today! Woo!

Woohoo! Happy 2020! It's a big day on the blog, too. We're EIGHT today! Holy cow!

I can't believe it's been eight years already. It's been...interesting to say the least. lol

Thank you all for being a part of it. It's been a blast.

The last few months have been pretty quiet here but hoping to come at 2020 strong and get back in the swing of things.

Things...

I'm still here. And mostly okay.

Things have gone fairly quiet on the blog the last few weeks. I had posts scheduled but honestly didn't want to deal with comments and visitors. Sorry yall. Life kind of sucks sometimes and I was done for a bit. Still am more or less.

So There Might Be A Hurricane.

So yall not on my social media. I'm...dealing with a hurricane and this guy showed up last night on our coast. Noooooo! lol I'm inland but they're thinking it'll actually be really bad here with flooding and other than initial impact could be more deadly. Ergs! We're expecting up to 80mph winds starting Friday afternoon and up to 20 inches of rain in less than 2 days.  [ETA little update, with the push South we're in an iffy area. On the wrong side of the hurricane now but not as close a hit so it still could be pretty bad they just don't quite know] They're calling for catastrophic flooding for nearly the entire state from coast to mountains. Yikes!

My eyes! MY EYES!! Where I've Been + Upcoming News!

Hey guys! Now that I have a bit of an answer I thought I'd update yall on a few things.

The last few weeks I've been scarce around the blogisphere. I've had posts going live (yay blog ahead!) and replied to comments but blog visits and social media have been hit or miss. For a couple reasons. But the main one was my eyes. They've been giving me one hell of a time lately. Which resulted in this lovely picture over on the right. lol

Blog Ahead Tally

Aaaaand Blog Ahead is a GO! Tomorrow--Oct 1-- starts our annual Blog Ahead Challenge. For the entire month of October I'll be busting butt working on extra blog posts so I can get ahead with the blog and hopefully have a little less stress. 2016 has been brutal and my reserves are near tapped from emergencies and home renovations and whatnot. I'm pretty excited about the challenge and hopefully getting the blog fully stocked again.

This will be my tally post for the event.

I'm starting with 19 posts scheduled.

The event goal is 30 posts more than that. Whew!

You Oughta Know-- Facebook & Herding Cats (things are a changing)

Okay so a HUGE thing with the blog! Facebook recently decided to be difficult with our Fan Page. Views dropped to a ridiculous low. We've always had great interaction and reach and then this past month they were like BOOM no more views for you!

So! I started a FB Group for the blog since they don't get the same smack down as a fan page.

Herding Cats is FOUR!! Woots & Squees!

It's 2016!!!
But! More importantly herding cats & burning soup is officially FOUR years old. <wink>

It's been a whirlwind of a 4 years but I've had such a good time with it. Never thought I'd be doing all of the events and features I currently do but damn it's a good time.

My 2015 Goals. How'd I Do??! Erms...

So. I kicked off 2015 with a set of bloggery goals. There were... a lot of them. And I made some good progress overall I think. I'm feeling confident in the blog and where I wanna be. Yay! It's not perfect but it's getting there. Totally rocked some goals, some are a work in progress and some, well, not so much. I thought I'd do a quick recap on how things went before I figure out what I wanna try in 2016 :)
