Easter Treats (A to Z)

Not my eggs
We learned today that I stink when it comes to dying Easter eggs. I've got no talent for it what so ever and have the whole smurf thing going on now.

So. It all started when I saw this photo of some rubber band eggs and I thought....THAT IS AWESOME!...and decided I had to give it a try. Yeah. Mine. Not so much. First, how they got the dye that vibrant is beyond me. The colors are gorgeous!

But, how in the world did they manage to get so many rubber bands wrapped around those eggs so nicely. I killed 3 eggs trying to get my rubber bands on them and for the most part my rubber bands would go on then fling right off. There are rubber bands all over my kitchen! The dog kept looking up at me like "ma, really? what are you doing?"

This is where we started.

So tidy. So optimistic. So hopeful and determined to have some kickass Easter eggs. Yes, well.

That's what I ended up with. Huh. I do like the pink one actually. It was the first one I did with the rubber bands and I left it simple. The others that got dipped in multiple colors kinda ended up some funky kinda colors. First attempt at rubber band eggs...not all that impressive. I really want to know how they got those colors. That's what gets me the most. Maybe not adding water to the dye? Using multiple color tablets and only vinegar? I'm going to have to play around with this again I think.

Moving on from eggs...I saw these on Pintrest and oh.my.goodness are they darling!?! Finally something to do with all those peeps! I love em!

Bwahahaha.
The melty version would totally freak me out if I were a little kid but I thought the ears flopping out were hilarious! They were pretty tasty too!

Alright people. Let me have those egg dying tips. I want some awesome eggs next year. What am I doing wrong here?
