Deliver Me From Temptation was one of those read until your eyes burn, can't stay awake a single second more type of reads for me. I absolutely devoured it and didn't want to give this book up. The characters were wonderful. They're sexy and honorable as all get out and so easy to fall in love with. And the suspense was exciting and had me on the edge of my seat more than once. It just doesn't get better than that.
Jessica and Logan were brilliant together. The two were so suited for each other even if they couldn't always see it. They're both, without question, warriors and strong individuals. Logan is one of those delicious sigh inducing men and Jessica's a kick ass heroine that I absolutely adored. She's tough as nails, no nonsense and determined as hell to get what she wants even if it's a little risky. I really loved that they fell into each others paths because of the happenings in book one surrounding his best friend Roland [it still reads really well as a stand alone so no worries there]. It was just a nicely done carry over.
One of the things Hilaire does so wonderfully is putting her secondary characters to use. You get little tastes of the other warriors but they always take a back seat to the main couple and provide support without overshadowing them. And Sweet. Mary. Those warriors are so freaking hot! I love all their interactions together and am damn near aswoon over Alexander. Damn if he doesn't make me all growly ;) That man NEEDS his own book! <g> * and yep, that was my oh so subtle hint Mrs Hilaire lol*
The ending. OMG. The ending was one of the best I've read. Tears. Edge of my seat fidgeting. Didn't see it coming... wonderful. Everything I could have asked for. If you haven't picked up Hilaire's Paladin Warriors series yet it's really a must read. Hilaire has a wonderful voice and created an incredibly rich world that's easy to get lost in. The characters are complex, damaged but so incredibly likable you'll want to spend more time with them.
