18 & Over- fun facts :)

18 & Over Book Blogger Follow is a weekly feature that begins on Fridays and runs through the weekend, hosted by Crystal from Reading Between the Wines. This is a Friday blog hop with the objective to find and visit other book blogs that share the same interest as you, namely books geared towards the 18 & over crowd, and make some new friends!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK...

Please share with us five fun facts about yourself. :)

Oh Lord. Alright, lets see...

1. Bugs/lizzards/frogs/birds/worms/baby bunnies really freak. me. out. Squealing like a girl freak me out. My guy neighbors have come running multiple times over baby bunnies attacking or worms lunging at me. The bird that came in my room at 6am was a doozie. There was a screech filled phone call involved with that one. And I'm not one bit ashamed cus that shits scary as hell.

2. LOTS of books get hidden when family visits. Mom borrowed a pretty tame one and I ended up getting the full name treatment in a phone call that it was "porn on paper" and every time they turn around they were having sex!!! Gasp! LOL. My grandmom tends to mumble under her breath about "burning those books" when she visits. She's not left unsupervised anymore.

3. Um. I've slept in an elevator.

4. I've been to the vet multiple times with a turtle suffering a bitten penis.

Key word searches to the blog because of the Preston and his penis post are freaking hysterical and make me feel really sheltered ;)

5. I love funky art but politely declined when my favorite 'black sheep' aunt tried to give me a housewarming painting she calls "Five on a shelf". There was a very awkward moment when I found out who each belonged to. Gah! TMI. No durrrty art in this house! And that sucker was like 3 feet! Imagine going into kinkos to get that wrapped and shipped! I brought home a questionable "flower" instead.

Alright. Your turn! What are some fun facts about you?!

  1. I'm too lazy to hide books every time somebody comes to visit, especially since my mother likes to stop by unannounced . . . and is a professional snoop. That's one of the reasons I have shelves in 3 different rooms. :)

    1. I get a good 500 mile warning so it's not too bad. Couple times a year at most. They love to snoop but are pretty short so things get put up high and we're good :) Ah, family... gotta love em ;)

  3. I've never heard of a turtle biting it's penis. LoL We live across the country from my family so the last time my parents were at my house, I had just started my book collection which consisted of academic books, twilight, cookbooks and some of my husband Star Wars books. Nothing too scandalous. However, if family came to my house now... I'd have to hide some books.

    1. Well, he had a bit of help. His tank mate Roma didn't take too kindly to his advances and really let him know.

LOL. Glad I'm not the only one who has to tuck books away. :)

  4. That is too funny. My family would die too with the books that I read. Needless to say I pretty much just ignore it and only share tame books with them. lol
I would not leave anyone alone if they talked about burning my books. I think I would cry.

I love goodreads b/c I can talk about all the books my parents or siblings would flip out about. So feel free to chat with me on GR. I love a good discussion.

Thanks for stopping by my page. Sorry that it too so long to get back to you.

I'm with you on the birds though, those things are nasty.
The only family I have to worry about burning my books moved half the country away and never visit so yay, no worries there. lol
