Follow Friday! Who's your daddy? Favorite one that is...

Q: Happy Father's Day! Who is your favorite dad character in a book and why?

A: I'm going with a father figures and two that I just love.

John "Preacher" Middleton from Robyn Carr's Shelter Mountain who takes in a woman and her young son who are on the run from an abusive relationship. Loved how protective and gentle John was with the little boy. Spending time with him making dozens of cookies at his bar even though they weren't on the menu but doing it because it made the little boy happy and brought him out of his shell. It was such a wonderfully written story and an absolute tear jerker

Then Joe from Lori Foster's Say No To Joe! The man is hysterical. A life long bachelor that ends up faced with two older children in need. He's so protective of them when all of the adults in their lives have let them down. Sweet and caring but still firm with them. Was also pretty funny watching him suddenly having to parent a teenage girl and dealing with her "friend" showing up. Just a great book.

Acheron from Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series and Simi are another fatherfigure relationship. Maybe a bit of a stretch but I think it counts :) He's a bit indulgent with her but it's sweet and you can tell how much they love each other. Okay. I'm done. Swear :)

Do you have a favorite book father/father figure?
